Homemade Valentines!

It's obvious that I Love to craft but making these Valentines were so easy, so much fun and sooo CUTE!!

I just searched Pinterest for some ideas. The printables were FREE, so all I had to do was print them out! I used white card stock paper. The straws were found at Hobby Lobby for just a couple dollars and you can find packages of glow sticks at the dollar store. It's that simple! All you have to do is just cut them out, hole punch the spots for the straws to slide in and then tie the glowstick with some twine. I used some cute red and white stripe twine. It really wasn't that hard at all and it was something fun to do with the kids!

Stepping on my soap box for a minute, but I know by posting these pics I'm going to get some unnecessary and hurtful comments. I really hate when other Moms make comments and say or do things like A.) Make fun of me for the things I do for my kids. I don't do it to make you look bad. I just like to do this stuff, so don't give me a hard time! B.) say they don't have time to do this stuff (especially when they don't work) because I have two kids, a husband, a dog and work full time! And I still manage to find time. It's different if you don't care or don't like to do this kind of stuff. But if your going to sit there and Mock me and make fun because I do, you have some serious jealousy or self esteem issues. I may not always feel like doing this stuff and sometimes I even choose not to, but I try to be the best and give the best to my kids and I will continue to do so! Ok off my soap box.

So if anyone needs help or is looking for a cute new fun Valentine idea for their children, here you go!

All you need is:
1. White cardstock paper
2. Scissors
3. Hole puncher
4. Twine
5. Glowsticks
6. Heart shaped straws

Happy Crafting!!

Cohen's 2nd Birthday

I can't BELIEVE our baby boy is 2 years old already!! My how time fly's by!! It still seems like yesterday we brought him home from the hospital!! This past Saturday we had a GO DEIGO GO birthday party for him. He loved it. He had 9 little friends show up and of course some of our adult friends!! Phillip and I bought him a bounce house for his birthday!! The kids just played and bounced for about 2 hours!! Cohen got lots of goodies and we appreciate everyone that came to help celebrate. The only thing missing was his Daddy!! :( However later that night Cohen got to skype with his Dad and show him how high he could bounce!!

Mogadishu Mile

Saturday Phillip, Cohen (in the jogging stroller), and I ran in a 5k race downtown Columbus. The race was to honor the fallen Rangers in Somalia. The profits go to the Ranger assistance foundation to help fallen/injured Rangers  and their families! The event was wonderful and had a great turnout!

It was so much fun to run with my husband and child! Phillip said it was a total Dad moment for him! hehehe! We did great, I ran a little over 3 miles in 34 min. Poor Phillip could of ran it alot faster had he done it by himself, but he stayed with me and we had a blast! I think it will become our new family thing!!

God Bless America!

Last Friday, Cohen's ELC daycare put on a God Bless America parade for the 4th of July. It was so freaking cute and all the children loved it!! The whole daycare besides the Infant classroom (which were so cute sitting in their bumpo chairs watching as the kids went by) marched all the way around the block down town!! The parents all stood outside in the drop off zone and as the kids marched out the doors and they saw their children they joined in with them. All were just a singing and waving there flags. Some of the kids were dressed in liberty bell outfits, some like Uncle Sam, some were Rock n Roll Americans, and some had painted red, white, and blue patriotic shirts that they somehow painted or made themselves. All were to precious! It was so fitting and perfect for the 4th of July.

My Cohen had so much fun!! He loved waving his flag and I was so suprised he knew exactly what to do! I am so blessed to have Cohen in my life and so grateful I was able to be there with him that day! I just wish his daddy was able to be their and watch him. He would of been so proud! But because of Phillip and all the other Brave men and women out there and those who have paid the ultimate price we are FREE!!

I am so grateful to be part of this wonderful nation! I thank all our nations Heros for your time, service, dedication, and sacrifies you have made for this country. I especially want to thank my Grandpa, my father, my brother, and my husband for the sacrifies they have made for me by defending this country (all have served or still serving proudly). I love you all so much. You are the most important men in my life! I am so proud of my husband Phillip! He has given up so much and missed out on so much, but yet is still so proud and honored to be an American Solider. Cohen and I are anxiously awaiting to be reunited with him!  We cant wait to be a family ALL together again! Even Emma! :) Hope Everyone had a wonderful 4th of July and has a great week!!!

Happy Birthday America!! And God Bless the USA!!!!
